June 5th we celebrate World Environment Day. World Environment Day was celebrated for the first time in 1974.

On Saturday, June 4, with the message "Aware citizens - Clean coasts", the beach cleaning action in Karabournaki was carried out by ATLAS TV of Central Macedonia under the auspices of the Municipality of Kalamaria and with the participation of the Greek Eco Project, as part of the events for World Environment Day on June 4-5.
