A LITTLE INFO ABOUT THIS YEARS "BLUE HALKIDIKI"
Seven days of environmental action in and out of the sea in Toroneo Bay, traveling by catamaran and carrying out underwater and coastal cleanups. Blue Halkidiki started in 2021 with the intention of doing something bigger and stronger to reduce marine pollution and continued in 2022 with great success. The pollution of the seas is globally one of the biggest and most serious problems that our planet faces and humans are unable to realize the magnitude of the problem as they above the surface.
Blue Halkidiki retuned this year Our team became bigger and proudly completed this years Blue Halkidiki.
The Greek Eco Project team during the Blue Halkidiki 2023 project visited once more various locations through the sea and the coast with the goal of removing as much waste as possible. With a big team of volunteers and divers we acted for the environment
The beginning of Blue Halkidiki 2023 took place on Saturday 1 July and the end on Friday 7 July. The actions started with the established two-day Beach Volley Tournament, which marks the start of the project, on the beach of Molos Haniotis, Halkidiki.
Volunteers and partners traveled along the coast of Toroneos Bay by catamaran, carrying out underwater and coastal cleanups as well as coastal events for 7 consecutive days. This year our team had 15 divers and more than 90 volunteers of the organization.

Raising awareness and informing the world about marine pollution is the most important purpose we organize and voluntarily participate in this great effort.
However, motivation is the result of proper information and awareness, because to help the planet, practical actions are needed.
Through the cleaning actions, we leave a cleaner, safer sea, while at the same time creating a valuable opportunity for researching the seabed of Halkidiki, mapping it and getting to know the marine life of the Toroneos gulf and what kind of finds and waste are found on the seabed and coast.
